Office Practice Risk Evaluations

A distinctive CAP-MPT "Benefit of Membership" is the on-site Office Practice Risk Evaluation. The Risk Management goal includes conducting Office Evaluations for all member physician practices.

What is an Office Practice Risk Evaluation?

Physician members' office practice risks are evaluated in light of current litigation trends. Experienced Risk Management personnel conduct the evaluations and provide consultative feedback to physicians and staff. An Office Practice Evaluation includes the following areas of risk:

  • Medical records documentation
  • Consent issues
  • Specialist referral
  • Arbitration usage
  • Prescription refill protocol
  • Tracking patients for recall
  • Telephone advice / messages protocols
  • Confidentiality
  • Complaint management
